Afforestation in the Common lands of Albergaria da Serra, Arouca
The target area for this intervention is a vacant lot belonging to the parish of Albergaria da Serra, Arouca, Aveiro. It is located in the homogeneous sub-region of Freita within the PROF AMPEDV – Regional Forest Management Plan for the Porto Metropolitan Area and Entre Douro e Vouga, in the Freita forest perimeter and in the Natura 2000 Network site “Serras da Freita e Arada”.
The intervention carried out on this land was aimed at consolidating the tree planting carried out in 2008, within the scope of the project "Nuclei of native broadleaf trees Serra da Freita".
The total area covered by this intervention is approximately 5.60 hectares, divided into 4 plots. The work aims to provide relief to young plants through vegetation clearing, replacing dead plants, and repairing fences where necessary.
