The area subject to intervention is a plot of common land belonging to the Parish of Sistelo, Arcos de Valdevez. The intervention area is a mountainous zone, mostly occupied by Scots pine, chamaecyparis, birch trees and various scrubland.

The total intervention area is approximately 15 hectares. An agreement was signed between the Board of Directors of the Sistelo Common Lands and ACHLI. Throughout the duration of the protocol, various interventions will be carried out with the aim of protecting existing forest areas, as well as improving the overall habitat. Interventions may include fuel management, densification, afforestation, among others.
