Forest Intervention Plan - Abedim, Monção
The area subject to intervention is a common land belonging to the Parish of Abedim, Monção. The intervention area is a mountainous zone, mostly occupied by Douglas firs, but other forest species such as pines, cinchona, oaks, birches and chestnut trees can also be found.
The total intervention area is approximately 100 hectares. A collaboration protocol was signed between the Board of Directors of the Abedim common lands and ACHLI. Throughout the duration of the protocol, various interventions will be carried out with the aim of protecting existing forest areas, as well as improving the habitat in general. Interventions may include fuel management, densification, planting, among others.
