Forest Intervention Plan - Peva, Moimenta da Beira
The area subject to intervention is a plot of common land belonging to the Parish of Peva, Moimenta da Beira. The intervention area is a mountainous zone, mostly occupied by some stands of pine trees, broadleaf trees and various scrubland.
The total intervention area is approximately 139 hectares. A protocol was signed between the Board of Directors of the Aquilino Ribeiro Common Lands and ACHLI. Throughout the duration of the protocol, various interventions will be carried out with the aim of protecting existing forest areas, as well as improving the overall habitat. Interventions may include fuel management, densification, afforestation, among others.
